AN ACT relative to continuing education requirements for child day care workers.

ANALYSIS

 

This bill requires a child day care agency employee to obtain at least 6 hours of annual continuing education or professional development.

 

This bill is a request of the committee to study issues and impediments to starting, running, and growing home and commercial day care facilities in New Hampshire established in 2019, 173.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty

 

AN ACT relative to continuing education requirements for child day care workers.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  New Subparagraph; Child Day Care Licensing; Rulemaking.  Amend RSA 170-E:11, I by inserting after subparagraph (m) the following new subparagraph:

(n)  Requiring not more than 6 hours of annual continuing education or professional development for all personnel employed at a child day care agency licensed pursuant to this chapter.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
