STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Nineteen
AN ACT relative to oral prophylaxis for dental patients.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Paragraph; Dentistry; Dental Hygiene. Amend RSA 317-A:21 by inserting after paragraph III the following new paragraph:
III-a. If requested by a patient, a dental hygienist shall perform an oral prophylaxis even if the supervising dentist determines that the patient requires dental procedures or surgery.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
