AN ACT relative to nondiscrimination in public and nonpublic schools.

ANALYSIS

 

This bill provides that RSA 354-A, the state law against discrimination, shall apply to any public or nonpublic school that receives public funds.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Nineteen

 

AN ACT relative to nondiscrimination in public and nonpublic schools.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  New Section; State Commission for Human Rights; Applicable to Public and Nonpublic Schools.  Amend RSA 354-A by inserting after section 5 the following new section:

354-A:5-a  Applicability; Public and Nonpublic Schools.  The requirements and protections of this chapter shall apply to any school, public or nonpublic, receiving public funds, directly or indirectly.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
