STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Nineteen

 

AN ACT relative to making a maternity room available on state house grounds.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  New Section; Maternity Room.  Amend RSA 14-A by inserting after section 4 the following new section:

14-A:4-a  Maternity Room.  The general court shall make a maternity room available to its members and the public on session days and on days when legislative hearings are scheduled.  The purpose of the room shall be to provide a private area to nurse or change a baby's clothes or diapers.  

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
