HOUSE RESOLUTION No. 14
Memorializing James R. Whittemore of Hudson.


WHEREAS, we have learned with profound sorrow of the death of our friend and colleague James R. Whittemore, who was serving his first term as a State Representative representing the citizens of Hillsborough District 37, the towns of Hudson and Pelham; and

WHEREAS, an active member of the Resources, Recreation and Development committee, Jim Whittemore was eager to participate on committee outings and was friendly with all members of the committee, irrespective of party; and,

WHEREAS, Jim Whittemore comes from a long New Hampshire family lineage, he taught his children the value of respecting our natural resources from hiking to responsible hunting, fishing, and trapping; and

WHEREAS, a man of diverse talents, Jim Whittemore worked for an engineering casting company, prefab home builders, recently drove for Lyft and Uber; he was also a singer and was fond of performing his own composition, entitled “The Reefer Song;” and,

WHEREAS, a devoted family man, James R. Whittemore leaves behind three children who adored their father, his wife Doreen, and two sisters, all of whom will keep him alive in their hearts; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, by the House of Representatives in Regular Session convened, James R. Whittemore be granted the highest praise and accolades and our profound thanks for his service to his country, the state, and the town he called home for many years, and, be it further

 

RESOLVED, that expressions of our most heartfelt sympathy be extended to his family and that a suitable copy of this Resolution be prepared for presentation to them.
