STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty

 

AN ACT authorizing school districts to adopt community service programs.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  New Section; Community Service.  Amend RSA 189 by inserting after section 20 the following new section:

189:20-a  Community Service.  A school board may adopt a program for high school students wherein, if the student completes 10 hours of civic or community service requirements set by the board the student shall be awarded academic credit.  

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2020.
