AN ACT requiring an annual report of the housing appeals board.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty

 

AN ACT requiring an annual report of the housing appeals board.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  New Section; Housing Appeals Board; Annual Report.  Amend RSA 679 by inserting after section 19 the following new section:

679:20  Annual Report.  Beginning on July 1, 2021, the board shall submit an annual report to the speaker of the house of representatives, the president of the senate, the house clerk, the senate clerk, the governor, and the state library, that includes:

I.  A brief description of all appeals brought to the board in which the board overturned the decision of planning board or local land use board.

II.  A brief description of all rulings made by the board that were then appealed to the supreme court and the final disposition of those appeals.

III.  An estimate of the impact of the housing appeals board on the number of housing units approved for construction.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect upon its passage.
