STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty
AN ACT relative to including business impacts in department of transportation engineering and design plans.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Section; Business Impacts; Department of Transportation. Amend RSA 228 by inserting after section 31-b the following new section:
228:31-c Business Impacts; Department of Transportation. For projects exceeding $5 million, the department of transportation shall include in its engineering and design how to mitigate effects on entry, access, or parking.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect July 1, 2020.

METHODOLOGY:
This bill requires the Department of Transportation to include certain business impacts in its engineering and design for projects over $5,000,000, to which the Department states encompasses what it already does as a matter of course, and therefore will have no fiscal impact.
