Floor Amendment to HB 1-A
Amend the bill by inserting after section 12 the following and renumbering the original sections 13-14 to read as 14-15, respectively:
13 Department of Health and Human Services; Appropriation; Homeless Shelter Contracts. The sum of $9,000,000 is hereby appropriated to the department of health and human services for the biennium ending June 30, 2023, for the purpose of providing homeless shelter contracts. The appropriation shall be from federal funds received by the state under the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and shall be in addition to any other funds appropriated for this purpose.
