Floor Amendment to HB 2-FN-A-LOCAL

 

Amend the bill by inserting after section 460 the following and renumbering the original section 461 to read as 462:

 

461  Appropriation; Department of Health and Human Services; Child Protective Services.  The sums of $1,600,253 for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2022 and $1,715,962 for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2023 are hereby appropriated to the department of health and human services for the purpose of funding 22 child protective service worker positions in addition to those funded by the operating budget.  Of the amount appropriated in the fiscal year ending June 30, 2022, $1,143,541 shall be state general funds and $456,712 shall be federal funds.  Of the amount appropriated in the fiscal year ending June 30, 2023, $1,226,226 shall be state general funds and $489,736 shall be federal funds.  The governor is authorized to draw a warrant for the general fund share of said amounts out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated.
