Floor Amendment to HB 2-FN-A-LOCAL
Amend the bill by deleting sections 94-96, relative to the meals and rooms tax rate.
Amend the bill by inserting after section 372 the following new section:
373 Revenue Estimates Increased; General and Education Trust Fund; Meals and Rooms Tax. The estimate of unrestricted revenue contained in HB 1-A of the 2021 regular legislative session, for general and education trust fund, meals and rooms tax, is hereby increased by $12,400,000 for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2022, and by $21,700,000 for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2023. Said increases shall be allocated proportionally between the general fund and the education trust fund.
