Amendment to SB 140-FN-A
Amend the bill by replacing Part I with the following:
PART I
Making an appropriation to the department of health and human services
for homeless shelter services.
1 Appropriation; Department of Health and Human Services; Homeless Shelter Services.
I. The sum of $18,000,000 for the biennium ending June 30, 2023, is hereby appropriated to the department of health and human services for the purpose of providing homeless shelter services in the state.
II. The appropriation in this section shall be made from federal funds received by the state of New Hampshire and shall be in addition to any other funds appropriated to the department of health and human services.
2 Effective Date. Part I of this act shall take effect July 1, 2021.

AMENDED ANALYSIS
This bill:
I. Makes an appropriation to the department of health and human services for homeless shelter services.
II. Makes an appropriation to the department of health and human services for primary prevention services for families.
