ANALYSIS

 

This bill allows retired group II police members of the retirement system to work special duty law enforcement and not have the special duty hours count against the part-time hours limit.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Two

 

AN ACT relative to special duty hours worked by retired police members in the retirement system.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  New Section; Certain Part-Time Employment; Special Duty Exception.  Amend RSA 100-A by inserting after section 7-b the following new section:

100-A:7-c  Certain Part-Time Employment; Special Duty Exception.  The annual limitations on part-time employment as defined in RSA 100-A:1, XXXIV shall be modified for retired group II permanent policemen members to exclude any hours worked on special duty law enforcement for a retirement system employer.  Employers shall include hours worked on special duty as a separate entry in the report required in RSA 100-A:16, VII(a).

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
