Floor Amendment to HB 2-FN-A-LOCAL
Amend the bill by replacing section 60 with the following:
60 Appropriation; Christa McAuliffe Memorial. There is hereby appropriated to the department of natural and cultural resources the sum of $200,000 for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2023, which shall be placed in a special nonlapsing account in the state treasury, for the purpose of designing, constructing, and maintaining a permanent memorial to Christa McAuliffe on state house grounds, specifically the front-facing area of the state house. The sum appropriated shall not lapse. The governor is authorized to draw a warrant for said sum out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated.
