METHODOLOGY:
This bill requires the Office of Professional Licensure and Certification to issue licenses to out-of state applicants who are licensed in another state, if the other state's licensing requirements are substantially similar to those in New Hampshire. It also requires criminal history records checks if otherwise required for the profession for which they are seeking licensure.
The Office of Professional Licensure and Certification states they are unable to determine how many reciprocal licenses would be received by their office resulting in an indeterminable impact to State revenues.
This bill may also increase criminal history records check, which could increase State restricted expenditures and revenue.
It is assumed any fiscal impact would occur after FY 2023.
