Amendment to HB 1014

 

Amend the title of the bill by replacing it with the following:

 

AN ACT relative to instruction in government and civics, including information on election laws and voting.

 

Amend the bill by replacing all after the enacting clause with the following:

 

1  Instruction in National and State History and Government and Civics.  Amend RSA 189:11, I-c(f) to read as follows:

(f) The role, opportunities, and responsibilities of a citizen to engage in civic activity. This shall include information on the laws governing election and voting pursuant to RSA 189:23.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
