AN ACT relative to requirements for homeowner installations of septic systems.

This bill enables a homeowner to install a replacement waste disposal system in their own domicile without a permit.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Four

 

AN ACT relative to requirements for homeowner installations of septic systems.  

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  System Installer Permit; Replacement Waste Disposal System.  Amend RSA 485-A:36, II to read as follows:

II. Any person who desires to install a replacement waste disposal system or to repair a waste disposal system for [his] their own domicile shall not be required to obtain an installer's permit as provided in paragraph I, provided [he complies] they comply with rules adopted by the department relative to such systems.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
