This bill expands the religious exemption for child immunization requirements to include exercise of the exemption as a matter of conscience.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Four

 

AN ACT relative to disclosure of vaccination status to child care providers.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  Immunization; Exemption.  Amend RSA 141-C:20-c, II to read as follows:

II. A parent or legal guardian objects to immunization because of religious beliefs or objects to disclosure of such information as a matter of conscience. The parent or legal guardian shall sign a form stating that the child has not been immunized because of religious beliefs or that the parent or legal guardian elects not to provide such information as a matter of conscience and an exercise of their right to privacy.  

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
