METHODOLOGY:

This bill, presumed effective for the 2024-2025 school year, defines a part-time teacher in NH public schools and requires criminal history record check clearance authorization from the Department of Education. The Department states it has no information to estimate how many individuals may seek to be authorized as a part-time teacher, however, notes the Department charges a $100 fee for the criminal history record check clearance. Therefore, to the extent individuals seek this designation, there would be an increase in state restricted education credentialing revenue in FY 2025 and beyond.
