STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Four
AN ACT relative to possession and presentation of safe boater education certificates.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Safe Boater Education; Possession of Certificate; Electronic Copy. Amend RSA 270-D:11, I to read as follows:
I. Any person required to have a safe boater education certificate shall:
(a) Possess the certificate when operating a motorized vessel with any type of power motor in excess of 25 horsepower on the public waters of the state. The certificate shall be a physical original or copy, or an electronic copy, or a photograph of the certificate on an electronic device.
(b) Present the certificate or the copy upon the demand of a marine patrol officer. 2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
