STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Three
AN ACT relative to the requirements for a plumbing apprentice.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Mechanical Licensing; Definitions; Plumbing Apprentice. Amend RSA 157:23, XV to read as follows:
XV. "Plumbing apprentice" means any person who is engaged in learning and assisting in the installation of plumbing and drainage under an apprenticeship program that meets the requirements of the state apprenticeship advisory council established in RSA 278 or the rules of the board. An apprentice who meets the above requirements and has successfully completed at least 300 hours of apprenticeship classroom training and at least 4,000 hours of field experience shall be entitled to work without direct supervision in the field under the responsibility of his or her licensed sponsor.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
