STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Four
AN ACT relative to the definition of salon.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Occupations and Professions; Barbering, Cosmetology, and Esthetics; Definitions. Amend RSA 313-A:1, XII to read as follows:
XII. "Salon" means a beauty salon or other place kept open for the business of cosmetology, manicuring, or esthetics; however, for the purposes of this chapter, a salon shall not include the provision of cosmetology and barbering services in a client's residence, temporary or otherwise.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
