This bill directs the department of health and human services to require individuals conducting newborn hearing screening and diagnostic hearing evaluation reports to include the result of cytomegalovirus (CMV) screening for any infant who does not pass the final newborn hearing screening.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Four
AN ACT relative to newborn screening for cytomegalovirus.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Department of Health and Human Services; Early Detection of Cytomegalovirus. The commissioner of the department of health and human services shall amend current rule He-P 3008.15 to require individuals conducting newborn hearing screening and diagnostic hearing evaluation reports to include the result of cytomegalovirus (CMV) screening for any infant who does not pass the final newborn hearing screening.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
