STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Four
AN ACT relative to the state building code.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 State Building Code Amendment. The state building code review board shall amend the International Energy Conservation Code 2018, R402.4.1.2 to read as follows:
The building or dwelling unit shall be tested for air leakage. The maximum air leakage rate for any building or dwelling unit under any compliance path shall not exceed 5.0 air changes per hour or 0.28 cubic feet per minute (CFM) per square foot [0.0079 m3/(s × m2)] of dwelling unit enclosure area. Testing shall be conducted in accordance with ANSI/RESNET/ICC 380, ASTM E779 or ASTM E1827 and reported at a pressure of 0.2 inch w.g. (50 Pascals). Notwithstanding any other building code requirements, the air exchange rate shall be set to no more than 5.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
