Amendment to SB 409-FN

 

Amend the title of the bill by replacing it with the following:

 

AN ACT relative to reimbursement for ambulance services under the state Medicaid plan and making an appropriation therefor.

 

Amend the bill by inserting after section 2 the following and renumbering the original section 3 to read as 4:

 

3  Appropriation; Department of Health and Human Services.  The sum of $500,000 for the biennium ending June 30, 2025 is appropriated to the department of health and human services for the purposes of this act.  The department may accept and expend any available matching federal funds without the approval of the fiscal committee of the general court.  The governor is authorized to draw a warrant for said sum from any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated.

AMENDED ANALYSIS

 

This bill directs the department of health and human services to submit an amendment to the state Medicaid plan regarding reimbursement for ambulance services.  The bill also makes an appropriation to the department of health and human services for this purpose.
