STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Four

 

AN ACT making an appropriation to the statewide voter registration system.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  Appropriation; Department of State; Statewide Voter Registration System (SVRS).  The sum of $450,000 for the biennium ending June 30, 2025, is hereby appropriated to the department of state for the purpose of incorporating additional capabilities into the SVRS such as an election information portal, and maintaining the system.  Such funds shall be nonlapsing.  The governor is authorized to draw a warrant for said sum out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect upon its passage.

METHODOLOGY:

This bill establishes a $450,000 nonlapsing appropriation from the General Fund for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025 to the Department of State for the purpose of incorporating additional capabilities into the Statewide Voter Registration System (SVRS) such as an election information portal, and maintaining the system.   State expenditures will increase by $450,000, when the Department of State utilizes the appropriation..
