Amendment to SB 458

 

Amend the title of the bill by replacing it with the following:

 

AN ACT relative to the licensure of pharmacies.

 

Amend the bill by replacing all after the enacting clause with the following:

 

1  Pharmacists and Pharmacies; Licensure of Pharmacies; Registration Required.  Amend RSA 318:37, I to read as follows:

I.  No person shall conduct or operate a pharmacy [for the sale at retail of drugs and medicines] unless such pharmacy is registered with and a permit therefor has been issued by the office of professional licensure and certification in accordance with rules adopted by the pharmacy board, except as provided in this chapter.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.

AMENDED ANALYSIS

 

This bill removes reference to the retail sale of drugs and medicine from the registration and permitting requirement for pharmacies.
