Committee of Conference Report on HB 144-FN, relative to the practice of dental hygiene.

 

Recommendation:

That the House recede from its position of nonconcurrence with the Senate amendment, and concur with the Senate amendment, and

That the Senate and House adopt the following new amendment to the bill as amended by the Senate, and pass the bill as so amended:

 

Amend the bill by replacing section 2 with the following:

 

2 Occupations and Professions; Dentists and Dentistry; Examinations and Licenses; Applications.  Amend RSA 317-A:8, I to read as follows:

I. Applications for licensure to practice dentistry shall be made to the office of professional licensure and certification in writing or online and shall be accompanied by a fee established in rules adopted under RSA 541-A by the office and by satisfactory proof that the applicant is a graduate of a school that is recognized by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) and holds the degree of D.D.S. or D.M.D. The applicant shall be of good professional character and 18 years of age or older.
