Floor Amendment to HB 189

 

Amend the title of the bill by replacing it with the following:

 

AN ACT defining "clean energy" and including it in the department of energy's 10-year state energy strategy; and, removing references to the energy efficiency and sustainable energy board.

 

Amend RSA 21:55 as inserted by section 1 of the bill by replacing it with the following:

 

21:55  Clean Energy.  "Clean energy" means energy sources that do not release pollutants or greenhouse gases during use.

 

Amend RSA 12-P:7-a, I(c) as inserted by section 2 of the bill by replacing it with the following:

 

(c)  [Renewable energy] Clean energy and fuel diversity.

AMENDED ANALYSIS

 

This bill defines "clean energy" to mean energy sources that do not release pollutants or greenhouse gases during use, and makes it part of the department of energy's 10-year state energy strategy.

 

This bill also removes reference to the energy efficiency and sustainable energy board.
