STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Five

 

AN ACT relative to election audits.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

23:1  Recount of Additional Officers On Ballots Involved in Recounts; Audits.  Amend the introductory paragraph of RSA 660:17-b to read as follows:

660:17-b Recount of Additional Offices on Ballots Involved in Recounts.

For general election recounts of state representative races, the secretary of state's office shall, [in addition to] after recounting the state representative race:

23:2  Recount and Audit Procedures.  Amend RSA 660:17-c to read as follows:

660:17-c Recount and Audit Procedures; Publication. The secretary of state shall publish all recount and audit procedures, as well as the times to hold any recounts and audits that may take place. The secretary of state shall complete any audit conducted under this chapter [prior to the commencement] after the completion of a recount for any recount requested.

23:3  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
