STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Five
AN ACT making an appropriation to the solid waste management fund.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Appropriation. The sum of $1,000,000 for the biennium ending June 30, 2027, is hereby appropriated to the solid waste management fund established under RSA 149-R:3.? This appropriation shall be nonlapsing.? Of this appropriation, 50 percent shall be used to give priority to projects associated with the reduction and diversion of food, food waste, and other organic wastes until June 30, 2028. The governor is authorized to draw a warrant for said sum out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect July 1, 2025.

METHODOLOGY:
This bill provides a $1,000,000 nonlapsing, appropriation for the biennium ending June 30, 2027 from the General Fund to the Sold Waste Management Fund, with 50% of the appropriation to be used to give priority to projects associated with the reduction and diversion of food, floodwater and other organic wastes until June 30, 2028.
