Amendment to HB 646-FN-LOCAL
Amend the bill by replacing section 3 with the following:
3 Appropriation; Department of Education. The sum of $200,000 for the biennium ending June 30, 2027, is hereby appropriated to the department of education, for the purpose of providing grants to school districts to purchase software for establishing an online application for free or reduced price school meals. Each grant shall be no more than $7,500. The governor is authorized to draw a warrant for said sum out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated.
