1 Appropriation; Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders; Caregiver Respite. For the purpose of funding the Alzheimer's disease and related disorders (ADRD) caregiver respite program, the sum of $552,508 for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, and the sum of $552,508 for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2027, are appropriated to the department of health and human services. The governor is authorized to draw a warrant for said sums out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated. These funds shall not lapse until June 30, 2027.
2 Appropriations; Foster Grandparent Program, Retired Senior Volunteer Program, and Senior Companion Program.
I. For the purpose of funding the foster grandparent program, the sum of $100,000 for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, and the sum of $100,000 for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2027, are appropriated to the department of health and human services. The governor is authorized to draw a warrant for said sums out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated. These funds shall not lapse until June 30, 2027.
II. For the purpose of funding the retired senior volunteer program (RSVP), the sums of $180,000 for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, and the sum of $180,000 for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2027, are appropriated to the department of health and human services. The department shall allocate the appropriation among the existing RSVP programs. The governor is authorized to draw a warrant for said sums out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated. These funds shall not lapse until June 30, 2027.
III. For the purpose of funding the senior companion program, the sum of $30,000 for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, and the sum of $30,000 for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2027, are appropriated to the department of health and human services. The governor is authorized to draw a warrant for said sums out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated. These funds shall not lapse until June 30, 2027.
3 Effective Date. This act shall take effect July 1, 2025.
