Floor Amendment to HB 749-FN
Amend the title of the bill by replacing it with the following:
AN ACT requiring high schools to include instruction on the nature and history of communism and fascism.
Amend the bill by replacing section 1 with the following:
1 New Section; Instruction; High Schools; Nature and History of Communism and Fascism. Amend RSA 189 by inserting after section 11-d the following new section:
189:11-e Nature and History of Communism and Fascism. The school board of every public school and governing board of every private or nonpublic school shall certify that before receiving high school graduation diplomas, or other certificates of completion, every high school student has at least one hour of instruction on the nature and history of communism and at least one hour of instruction on the nature and history of fascism. Such instruction may be provided as a stand alone course or embedded in an existing social science course.

AMENDED ANALYSIS
This bill requires school boards and governing boards of private schools to include at least one hour of instruction on the nature and history of communism and at least one hour of instruction on the nature and history of fascism for high school graduation.
