This resolution resolves that the practice of suspending a constitutional officer is outside the authority designated to the judiciary and appropriately delegated to the general court.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Five
Whereas, the general court finds that the removal of authorities or duties conferred under the state constitution to the holder of any office established by the state constitution for any length of time, be it permanent or temporary, other than that which is voluntarily relinquished, constitutes a removal from office; and
Whereas, such a removal from office is constitutionally delegated to the legislative branch under provisions for impeachment and bills of address, and such authority is not delegated to the judiciary; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the legislature finds that the practice of "suspending" a constitutional officer to be outside of the authorities delegated to the judiciary, and that the practice opens the door to potential abuses of power and manipulation of outcomes that are against the public interest.
Let it be further resolved that copies of this resolution be sent to the members of the New Hampshire Congressional delegation, the governor, the president of senate, the speaker of the house, and chair of the house state federal relations committee.
