STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty-Six
AN ACT including domestic violence prevention as a wellness subject to be taught to pupils.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 Instruction of Domestic Violence Prevention Required. Amend RSA 189:10, II to read as follows:
II. The school board shall ensure that health education, physical education to include the importance of exercise, and wellness, are taught to pupils as part of the curriculum, specifically to include physiology, hygiene, health and interpersonal relationships, physical education, and wellness, as they relate to the effects of alcohol and other drugs, prevention of domestic and sexual violence, child abuse as established in the definition of "abused child" under RSA 169-C:3, II, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)/acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), and sexually transmitted diseases on the human system.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
