AN ACT relative to OHRV operation on certain highways within the town of Windsor.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Five

 

AN ACT relative to OHRV operation on certain highways within the town of Windsor.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  New Subparagraph; OHRV Operation on Certain Designated Highways.  Amend RSA 215-A:10, IV by inserting after subparagraph (d) the following new subparagraph:

(e) The following sections of state highway may be designated for OHRV use:  Windsor Road in Windsor from the Hillsborough town line to the intersection of Black Pond Road; Black Pond Road in Windsor from the intersection of Windsor Road to Miller Road.

(1)  This use may be authorized by the town board of selectmen pursuant to RSA 215-A:15, and following a duly noticed public hearing advertised at least 14 days in advance in a public location in the city or town and notification to abutters by verified mail pursuant to RSA 21:53, with the approval of the department of transportation and the department of safety.

(2)  The bureau, or its designee, shall sign any approved sections of highway for OHRV use.  

(3)  Following a duly noticed public hearing, except in the case of an emergency closure, such town board of selectmen may change the allowable usage of said highways by OHRVs by giving notification to the supervisor of the bureau and the department of transportation and removing any signs that no longer apply.?

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 45 days after its passage.
