Floor Amendment to HB 1263
Amend the title of the bill by replacing it with the following:
AN ACT relative to disposable military retirement pay and marital property.
Amend the bill by replacing all after the enacting clause with the following:
1 New Paragraph; Property Settlement. Amend RSA 458:16-a by inserting after paragraph I the following new paragraph:
I-a. Disposable military retirement pay shall not be considered marital property subject to division as a pension, but instead considered income available for alimony and child support calculations.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect July 1, 2026.
