Amendment to HB 1269

 

Amend the bill by replacing all after section 2 with the following:  

 

3  Acupuncture.  Amend RSA 328-G:9, II(e)(1) to read as follows:  

(e)(1)  Has earned [a baccalaureate, registered nurse, or physician associate degree from an accredited institution, and has] a current, valid license to practice acupuncture from another state whose requirements are substantially equal to or exceed the requirements of RSA 328-G:9, II; or

4  Definition of NCBAHM.  RSA 328-G:2, VII is repealed and reenacted to read as follows:  

VII.  "NCBAHM" means the National Certification Board of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine, including its predecessors and successors.

5  Change from NCCAOM to NCBAHM.  Amend the following RSA provisions by replacing NCCAOM with NCBAHM:  RSA 328-G:9, II and X.  

6  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.

AMENDED ANALYSIS

 

This bill modifies requirements for acupuncture licensure; adds an acupuncture detoxification specialist to the acupuncture board; and updates the name of the certification commission from the NCCAOM to the NCBAHM.
