Amendment to HB 131
Amend the introductory paragraph of RSA 193-F:4, II as inserted by section 1 of the bill by replacing it with the following:
II. The school board of each school district and the board of trustees of a chartered public school and public academy shall, no later than 6 months after the effective date of this section, adopt a written policy prohibiting bullying and cyberbullying. Such policy shall include the definitions set forth in RSA 193-F:3. The policy shall contain, at a minimum, the following components:
Amend RSA 193-F:4, II(h) as inserted by section 1 of the bill by replacing it with the following:
(h) A requirement that school staff members, coaches, and bus drivers report incidents of bullying to the school principal or other designee, as outlined in district reporting requirements.
Amend the bill by deleting section 3 and renumbering the original sections 4-6 to read as 3-5, respectively.

AMENDED ANALYSIS
This bill:
I. Requires the department of education to report the number of waivers granted for parental notification, number of waivers granted for investigation extensions, and the number of out-of-state cyberbullying cases reported and investigated.
II. Requires anti-bullying procedure to be included in the student handbook and that alleged victims get a written copy of their rights, protections, and support services available to them.
