STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty-Six

 

AN ACT relative to the definition of commercially-zoned land.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  Multi-Family Residential Development on Commercially Zoned Land.  Amend RSA 674:79, I and II to read as follows:  

I. "Commercially zoned land" means land [zoned for such commercial activities as retail and office space] located in a zoning district that permits commercial uses, as defined in local ordinances.  

II. "Mixed-use" means a type of development that combines residential, commercial, cultural, institutional, or entertainment uses within a single building or development [area] shown on a subdivision or site plan approved by the planning board.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect on July 1, 2026 at 12:01 a.m.
