Amendment to HB 1408-FN
Amend RSA 643:3, I(a) as inserted by section 1 of the bill by replacing it with the following:
(a) “Personal information" means the name, home address, city or unincorporated area of residence, age, marital status, relationship to the elected official, race or ethnic background, telephone number, personal mobile telephone number, pager number, personal e-mail address, social media accounts or profiles, online identifiers, contact information, or a personal photograph or video of a constituent; directions to the home of a constituent; current or former employers of a constituent; current or former educational systems in which a constituent is enrolled; or photographs or videos of the home or vehicle of a constituent. "Personal information" does not include information that is lawfully made available from federal, state, or local government records.
Amend RSA 643:3, IV as inserted by section 1 of the bill by inserting after subparagraph (b) the following new subparagraph:
(c) For the purposes of this section, records made available on the Internet by a state or local government official do not include records held by the property appraiser, tax collector, or register of deeds or official records held by the clerk of the court including the images and indices maintained by the clerk of the court. Such records in the custody of the property appraiser, tax collector, register of deeds, or clerk of the court shall not be removed from availability to the public, altered, or redacted in response to a written request pursuant to this section.
