Committee of Conference Report on HB 1469-FN-A, relative to the licensing requirements for massage therapy establishments.
Recommendation:
That the House recede from its position of nonconcurrence with the Senate amendment, and concur with the Senate amendment, and
That the Senate and House adopt the following new amendment to the bill as amended by the Senate, and pass the bill as so amended:
Amend RSA 328-B:14, II as inserted by section 10 of the bill by replacing it with the following:
II. In addition to licenses issued under paragraph I, the executive director may issue an establishment license to an applicant who is a natural person and does not hold a personal massage therapist license provided that the owner employs a licensed massage therapist as manager. This paragraph shall not authorize such owner to personally engage in massage therapy.
Amend RSA 328-H:18, II as inserted by section 17 of the bill by replacing it with the following:
II. In addition to licenses issued under paragraph I, the board may issue an establishment license to an applicant who is a natural person and does not hold a personal reflexologist, structural integrator, or Asian bodywork therapist license provided that the owner employs a licensed reflexologist, structural integrator, or Asian bodywork therapist as manager. This paragraph shall not authorize such owner to personally engage as a practitioner under this chapter.
