AN ACT relative to the determination of the default budget by the budget committee.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty-Six

 

AN ACT relative to the determination of the default budget by the budget committee.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  Municipal Budget Law; Budget Preparation.  Amend RSA 32:5, VII(b) to read as follows:

(b) The governing body in official ballot referenda jurisdictions operating under RSA 40:13 shall post certified copies of the default budget form or any amended default budget form with the proposed operating budget and the warrant. The default budget shall be presented to the budget committee, explaining the items and how they comply with the law.  The budget committee may make corrections to this default budget.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
