1 New Section; Child Care Scholarship Program; Notification to Licensees. Amend RSA 167 by inserting after section 83 the following new section:

167:83-a Child Care Scholarship Program; Notification to Licensees.

I. When the department receives an application for a child care scholarship which names a licensed child care program as the intended provider, the department shall notify the license holder via electronic means within 3 business days.

II. The notice shall include the child's name, anticipated start date if provided, and a statement that the application is pending eligibility determination.

III. The department shall provide follow-up notice via electronic means to the program within 3 business days when the application is approved, denied, or withdrawn.

IV. The commissioner shall adopt rules under RSA 541-A relative to the form, content, and secure transmission of the notices required under this section.

2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
