AN ACT repealing the authority of the public utilities commission to approve alternative forms of regulation for utilities.

ANALYSIS

 

This bill repeals the public utilities commission authority to approve and implement alternative forms of regulation for investor-owned electric and gas utilities outside of traditional cost-of-service, rate base, and rate of return methods.

STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

 

In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty-Six

 

AN ACT repealing the authority of the public utilities commission to approve alternative forms of regulation for utilities.

 

Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:

 

1  Repeal.  RSA 374:3-a, relative to alternative forms of regulation and incentive regulations, is repealed.

2  Effective Date.  This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
