1 New Section; Public Utilities; Smart Meter Radiation Disclosure. Amend RSA 374 by inserting after section 2-a the following new section:
374:2-b Smart Meter Radiation Disclosure.
I. Each electric utility operating in the state shall provide an annual written statement to each utility account holder that discloses the radiation levels emitted by any smart meter installed at the service location.
II. The statement required under paragraph I shall be provided in paper or electronic form and may be included with a regular billing statement or sent as a separate notice.
III. The public utilities commission shall oversee compliance with this section and may adopt rules under RSA 541-A as necessary to implement its provisions.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
