STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty-Six
AN ACT amending the title of the position of senior deputy secretary of state.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 The State and Its Government; Department and Secretary of State; Senior Deputy Secretary of State. Amend RSA 5:2-a to read as follows:
5:2-a [Senior] Special Deputy Secretary of State. The secretary of state may appoint a [senior] special deputy secretary of state who shall serve for not more than 90 days in any one fiscal year. The [senior] special deputy secretary of state appointed under this section shall exercise the duties and functions delegated to [him] them, and all duties and functions exercised by [him] them while so acting shall have the same validity and effect as though performed by the secretary of state.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
