STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty-Six
AN ACT amending the title of the position of senior deputy secretary of state.
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 The State and Its Government; Department and Secretary of State; Senior Deputy Secretary of State. Amend RSA 5:2-a to read as follows:
5:2-a [Senior] Special Deputy Secretary of State. The secretary of state may appoint a [senior] special deputy secretary of state who shall serve for not more than 90 days in any one fiscal year. The [senior] special deputy secretary of state appointed under this section shall exercise the duties and functions delegated to him or her, and all duties and functions exercised by him or her while so acting shall have the same validity and effect as though performed by the secretary of state.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
