Amendment to SB 572
Amend the title of the bill by replacing it with the following:
AN ACT relative to the maximum term of certain appointments to serve until their successor is appointed and qualified.
Amend the bill by replacing all after the enacting clause with the following:
1 The State and Its Government; Statutory Construction; Terms of Appointment. Amend RSA 21:33-a, III(b) to read as follows:
(b) That any other appointee to such position shall serve for the appropriate term or unexpired portion thereof, and until a successor is appointed and qualified provided that such service beyond the appropriate term or unexpired portion shall not extend beyond 6 months.
2 Effective Date. This act shall take effect July 1, 2026.
